Logging In To My Retirement Account

I am locked out of my retirement account. How do I reset my password? 
Go to the login screen and click on "password" where it says “I forgot my User ID or Password” just below the "Sign In" button.  We will send a reset link to the email address that we have on file for you. 

Didn’t receive an email? You can get help with this over the phone by calling our Participant Service Center at 844-749-9981. One of our representatives will help reset your password. 

What if I have other issues logging in to my retirement account?
If you have other issues logging in to your retirement account (if you need to update your email address, have trouble with our security settings, etc.), simply call our Participant Service Center at 844-749-9981. Our representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.

Loans, Distributions and Rollovers

How do I request a loan?
You can request a loan online. To get started, log in to your retirement account, go to “My Plans” and select “Distributions and Loans.” 

How do I pay off a loan? 
If you will be paying off your loan within the next 14 days, please call the Participant Service Center at 844-749-9981. One of our representatives will give you instructions on who to make a check payable to and where to send it. 

How do I request a distribution? 
You can request a distribution online. To get started, log in to your retirement account, go to “My Plan” and select “Distributions and Withdrawals.” 

How do I request a hardship distribution? 
You can request a hardship distribution online. To get started, log in to your retirement account, go to “My Plan,” select “More,” and “Forms.” 

Can I roll money from another retirement plan into my new Newport Group account?
A rollover is a transfer of account holdings from one retirement plan to another to avoid paying taxes on a distribution. Rollovers can be done from one company-sponsored retirement to another or to an IRA.

If you are currently working for your employer, you can roll funds from another institution into your Newport Group retirement account. Please log in to your account and “Select My Plans.” Choose “More” and “Forms” to access the Rollover Acceptance Form. For more information, call the Participant Service Center at 844-749-9981. 

Can I roll my retirement account out of Newport Group?
You can roll over your Newport Group retirement account to an IRA or another qualified retirement plan. To get started, log in to your account, go to “My Plan” and select “Distributions and Withdrawals.”

Contributions and Investment Allocations 

How do I change my contribution rate? 
You can change your contribution rate online. To get started, log in to your retirement account, and choose “My Plan.” Go to “Deferrals” and select, “Contributions Summary.” You are able to update your contribution rate here. 

How do I make changes to my investments?
You can make changes to your investment allocations online. Log in to your retirement account choose “My Plan,” and select “Explore My Options” in the “Manage Investments” section.

Other Common Questions

How do I update my address, name or email address on my retirement account? 
If you are currently working for your employer, please contact your company’s Human Resources Department to update your physical address, name or email address. If you are no longer working for your employer, please call our Participant Service Center at 844-749-9981. 

How do I update my beneficiaries?  
You can update your beneficiaries online. Log in to your retirement account and choose “My Plan.” Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Manage Beneficiaries” in the “Make a Request” section. 

I have a new job. How do I access my retirement account now?
Even if you are no longer working for the company that sponsors your retirement plan, you are still able to access your retirement account online. If your login credentials included a company email address that you no longer have access to, you will need to change your email address by calling our Participant Service Center at 844-749-9981.  

Where can I see my retirement account balance?
You can view your retirement account balance online. Log in to your account and select “My Dashboard.” 

How can I see my retirement account statement or find an older one?
Log in to your retirement account, click “My Dashboard,” and select “Statements.” Can’t find the statement you’re looking for, click “See More” or generate a statement for a specific timeframe in the “Statement on Demand” section. 

I have not enrolled in my company’s retirement plan? How do I get started?
Click here to get started. When you log in for the first time, the system will automatically take you through the enrollment process to set up your retirement account. 

How do get my tax forms/1099?
Tax forms are mailed each year by January 31. These forms are for distributions taken the prior year. For example, if your distribution request was taken in June 2019, your 1099R would be sent to you by January 31, 2020.  If you have taken a distribution prior to 2019 and would like to obtain a copy of your tax form for a prior year, please call the Participant Service Center at 844-749-9981. 

How do I get QDRO Forms or transfer money?
Because laws vary by state, we do not have a standard QDRO application available for download. Please call the Participant Service Center at 844-749-9981 for more information.
