Wayne Haughey

Chief Information Officer

Wayne Haughey leads Newport’s Technology and Digital Information team, which includes information technology operations and technology development. He is responsible for developing and implementing the company’s strategic vision for its technology, and leading his team in building solutions, systems and infrastructure to meet the needs of Newport’s clients—today and in the future.

He has extensive technology experience in the financial services industry, having led significant projects to tackle issues such as cybersecurity, scalability, and technical debt. Prior to joining Newport, Wayne was Head of Retail Product Technology with TIAA Financial Services. He has also held roles as chief information officer for TIAA Bank and technology and information management executive with Ally Bank.

Wayne earned his bachelor’s degrees in computer information systems and business from Northern Arizona University, and his master of business administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University.
