Sean N. Havlin

Chief Financial Officer

Sean Havlin leads, and is responsible for, all financial and fiscal management functions for Newport Group, and is an integral member of the firm’s executive management team. Sean has more than 20 years of financial leadership experience with several of the nation’s biggest and best-known financial institutions. Prior to joining Newport Group, Sean served concurrently as Managing Director/CFO of MUFG Union Bank’s Wealth Markets division and as CFO of its broker-dealer and asset management subsidiaries. Sean previously held roles as Senior Vice President and Finance Manager at Wells Fargo Bank, working within its Community Banking and Wealth Management segments. Sean’s professional career began with KPMG in Belfast, Northern Ireland and in New York City. Sean earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland and his master’s degree in business administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Sean is a fellowship member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ireland and also holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 27 and 63 registrations.
